Hec Clouthier & Sons Inc., located in Pembroke, is a third-generation, family-owned forestry company that is committed to sustainable forestry in Renfrew County and the Nipissing District. We pride ourselves in providing excellent management and supervision for harvesting and reforestation of our forests.

We are recruiting an energetic person to join our team as the Office Administrator-Bookkeeper. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Manage communications with the public, colleagues and other forestry professionals
• Data entry, updating and managing files
• Performing bookkeeping work including entering invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, employee and government remittances
• Assisting the accountant when required
• Performing work in a professional and respectful way while appreciating confidentiality
• Able to learn new processes such as processing forestry-related paperwork

• Ability to communicate effectively and with respect, orally and in writing
• General computer skills with Sage (Simply) Accounting and Microsoft products including Excel, Access and Word
• Post-secondary education with a focus in accounting or an equivalent discipline
• Strong organizational skills to effectively process all paperwork in a timely and scheduled manner, including licensing, permits, approvals
• Experience using general accounting practices
• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Valid driver’s license
