Our GM dealership in Renfrew is recruiting for a Licensed Automotive Technician This is a full-time position working 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday. No weekend work is required for this position.

Responsibilities of this position:

• Perform all vehicle warranty and non-warranty inspection, diagnostic, maintenance and repair work efficiently and competently to dealership and manufacturer standards
• Examine and test drive vehicles to determine what repairs are required as indicated on work order
• Relay information to the Service Advisor if additional service work is required as a result of inspection or road test and not indicated on work order
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
• Maintain timely, accurate records of work performed per repair
• Participate in paid General Motors training programs both in-house and external and keep current of all factory technical bulletins
• Maintain work and shop area in a neat and clean manner and account for any/all company-owned tools and equipment at all times
• Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean
• Wear and maintain any personal protective equipment required and follow all health and safety procedures

• Strong mechanical and technical automotive ability
• Initiative to better yourself, our team, and the overall customer experience
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Understand safe working and driving practices
• Ability to work well with a team
• Previous experience in a General Motors dealership is an asset
• Ontario Class G driver's licence is required
• Ontario Motor Vehicle Repair Licence 310s is preferred
