Valley Manor is recruiting for a Nursing Aide. This position is 35 hours per week and can start as soon as May 27, 2024.
This job will help prepare students to pursue further education in the nursing field, personal support worker, social work, gerontology and dealing with the elderly.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the provision of personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, feeding, ambulation etc. to the elderly residents.
- Support residents in social events of their choice.
- Ensure that the proper procedures for Valley Manor programs are followed and performed (i.e. fire regulations, infection control, WHMIS, lifts and transfers, hazards, Step Ahead, GPA, etc.)
- Adhere to all safety requirements for staff, residents, volunteers, visitors etc.
- Attend in-service training and education sessions and booklet training.
- Follow all guidelines of the nursing department and Valley Manor.
