Blair Jones Professional Corporation is a local law firm practicing primarily in the areas of real estate law, corporate law, wills and estates. We are currently looking for a Bookkeeper-Receptionist to join our team. This is a full-time position.


The responsibilities of this position will include general reception and administrative duties, as well as:

  • management of accounts payable and accounts receivable,
  • payroll,
  • government remittances,
  • reconciliation of credit card, general bank account and trust account in accordance with the requirements of the Law Society of Upper Canada and
  • preparation of year-end paperwork for the accountant.


  • experience working in a payroll and accounts payable and accounts receivable role, preferably in the legal field;               
  • ability to work independently under the general supervision of a lawyer;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills (English);
  • respectful of strict confidentiality;
  • strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
  • valid driver’s licence;
  • computer proficiency.


  • experience working with PC Law and The Conveyancer;
  • a certificate or diploma in bookkeeping or CPB designation;
  • ability to communicate in French;
  • prior work experience in a general service law firm.
