We are recruiting for a Program Lead, Prevention Services. This is a full-time position.

The Program Lead, Prevention Services will oversee the prevention program assistants, ultimately overseeing the delivery of culturally appropriate program for children, youth and families.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Develops and oversees the planning, coordination, staffing and implementation of individual and group programming
• Develops and oversees the promotion and advertising of programs and activities
• Documents challenges and successes with the program
• ensure the completion of all administrative duties and responsibilities, including an inventory of materials & supplies, confirmation of location bookings, client transportation, etc.
• Collaborates with others to identify needs, priorities, and opportunities for appropriate programming needs
• Provides leaderships and supervision to program staff
• Conducts check-ins, evaluations, and professional development activities to support the growth and success of team members
• Participates in developing strategic plans and annualized work plans
• Liaises with other departments and builds strong community relationships
• Identifies opportunities for partnership and collaboration with external agencies

• Diploma in social services, child and youth worker, early childhood education
• Three years of experience working in the related field with program development and implementation
• A minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory capacity or demonstrated leadership capacity
• A minimum of a class G driver’s licence, access to a dependable vehicle and the ability to obtain passenger insurance
• Registration with a recognized body of regulation is an asset
• Enjoy working directly with children and youth
• Experience working with children, youth and families
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to maintain interpersonal relationships
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Maintain a valid vulnerable sector check screening
• Current CPR and Standard First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain)
