The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) educates over 9,000 students across 28 schools and administrative sites in the Ottawa River Valley, situated on the traditional territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people and home to the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation. We are recruiting for Classroom Support for the 2026-2027 school year. This is for an on-call basis with no guarantee of hours. Call-ins are dependent on school needs and for the current school year only.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher, educational support personnel and early childhood educators in the classroom to help maintain a safe, caring and respectful learning environment. 
• Follow lesson plans and/or instructions provided to you by the classroom teacher or other classroom staff. 
• Provide supervision as assigned by the school administrator.

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Post-secondary education in a related field including autism or behaviour science, educational assistant, early learning or a teaching program
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience in a classroom setting or similar environment
• Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks and assist with personal care when required
• Ability to remain calm and non confrontational under pressure
• Current BMS training certificate is an asset
• Current First Aid certificate is an asset
