Since 1951, MacKillican & Associates have been providing professional accounting services to small and medium sized businesses in addition to specializing in accounting and auditing of public sector organizations and municipalities. Located in Renfrew and Arnprior, the firm serves Renfrew County as well as area of Ottawa-Carleton and Lanark County.

MacKillican & Associates offer an extensive range of services including accounting, audit, review, compilations, bookkeeping, cash flow and budget analysis, forecasting, financial statements, tax, estate and trust preparation, federal and provincial tax, payroll, tax planning and consulting.

Due to the expanding auditing base of our practice, we are currently looking for a Bookkeeper in our Renfrew office. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping to trial balance, including accounts payable, account reconciliations, and account analysis
  • Preparation of payroll
  • Preparation of T4, T5, HST, EHT and WSIB
  • Preparation of year-end files for accountants
  • Drafting correspondence related to client engagements
Qualifications
  • College-level accounting or business diploma, or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Responsibility and ownership for completion of engagements
  • Understand the importance of quality client service, proactively identify client needs and creates strategies to proficiently serve clients
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, Adobe, QuickBooks Online, Sage 50
