Our services include excavating, civil construction, aggregates, float services, rock breakers, landscaping, snow removal, and sand, gravel and topsoil.

We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper-Accountant. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday. This is a key role at McCrea Excavating with a direct impact on business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple entities
• Accounts payable and receivable management
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Payroll coordination and review
• HST filings and compliance
• Job costing and tracking project financials
• Monthly and year-end closing processes
• Liaising with external accountants and auditors
• Assisting with budgeting and financial reporting

• Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience
• Comfortable managing financials across multiple companies
• CPA designation (or working towards) is an asset
• 3 or more years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (construction industry preferred)
• Experience with multi-entity accounting
• Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• High attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
