With our child well-being law, Nigig Nibi Ki-win, now fully in force, the community embraces a step in reconciliation by reclaiming jurisdiction over the safety and well-being of our children, youth and families.
We are recruiting for an Assistant to Service Delivery. This is a full-time position.
The Assistant to Service Delivery will be assigned duties that provide administrative services and assistance to the director of service delivery and service managers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a confidential assistant to senior leadership and serve as the primary point of contact to the director
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings and appointments, make travel arrangements
- Analyze memoranda, submissions, and reports, directs follow-up and maintains filing
- Compose correspondence, reports, and recommendations
- Coordinate meetings, including agenda preparation, note taking, preparing materials, and follow-up on action items
- May assists with preparation of child welfare services work plans and departmental budgets
- Financial monitoring of specific expenditures
- Collaborate with other community resources to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Participate in monthly staff meetings
- Perform other related duties as may be required

- Post-secondary education in executive administration or office administration
- Experience in a social services environment is preferable
- A minimum of three years experience working with senior leadership
- Experience working with Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation or other indigenous communities or organizations
- A clean police record check with vulnerable sector screening
- Access to a vehicle, with a class G license, clear driver’s abstract and passenger insurance
- Exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
