Located approximately 150 kilometers northwest of Ottawa, Pembroke Regional Hospital delivers a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services to a population of approximately 55,000 residents. With the dedicated support of 750 staff members, an engaged physician community and hundreds of volunteers, Pembroke Regional Hospital provides acute services in emergency and intensive care, medical-surgical care, acute mental health, orthopaedics and obstetrics. The hospital has a full range of rehabilitation services, is the designated district stroke centre for the region, and provides community-based mental health services throughout Renfrew County.
The Pembroke Regional Hospital is recruiting for an Administrative Resource, Clinical Administration. This is a temporary, full-time position working Monday to Friday.
The Administrative Resource provides administrative support to the office of the vice presidents of clinical and support services, clinical directors, managers, coordinators and clinical leadership teams including physicians. This role supports key functions of quality improvement work, safety, risk, research, data collection and departmental supporting structures. The Administrative Resource is working in an environment requiring extreme confidentiality and discretion.

- A minimum of a two-year diploma in office administration from a community college or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Minute taking skills
- Ability to maintain databases
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat applications
- Type a minimum of 60 words per minute
- Ability to create and revise forms and documents
- Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent frontline customer service skills emphasizing confidentiality, tact, diplomacy and protocol
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and work within deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment
- Embody the LEAN ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement
- Ability to meet the attendance standards of the hospital
Assets:
- Experience in an office setting
- Medical affairs experience working with physicians
- Medical terminology certificate
