Position Overview

TWOth Autosport is seeking a motivated and capable Motorsports Mechanics-Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position that includes shop-based work and event travel.

This role will primarily support the preparation, maintenance, and trackside performance of our driver development cars, club racing entries, and regional race programs, the heartbeat of our day-to-day operations at Calabogie Motorsports Park.

As TWOth continues to expand into NASCAR Canada and deepen its presence in IMSA, there is a genuine and clear path for motivated team members to advance into roles supporting our biggest professional programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of race cars for testing and competition
  • Perform routine service tasks and component inspections with minimal supervision
  • Support teardown and reassembly of driveline, bodywork, and suspension components
  • Assist with car setup including body fitment, basic alignment adjustments, and corner weighting
  • Provide trackside support including pit crew assistance, pre/post-session inspections, and rapid turnaround work
  • Follow direction from senior mechanics and engineers while proactively identifying and communicating issues
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized shop environment
  • Accurately document work performed and report mechanical concerns to the appropriate team members
Qualifications

This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must bring prior professional, hands-on mechanical experience. What we are looking for is someone with a solid mechanical foundation, a strong work ethic, and the drive to continue developing their craft within a high-performance team environment.

Required:

  • 2 - 4 years of hands-on mechanical experience in a professional setting
  • Working knowledge of core vehicle systems including drivetrain, suspension, and chassis
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks independently and competently
  • Strong work ethic and genuine willingness to learn in a high-performance team environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and travel for race events as required
  • Valid driver’s license and valid passport required for travel to U.S. race events
  • Must be able to commute to or relocate near Calabogie (west Ottawa area or closer)
  • Solid mechanical foundation with clear potential and desire to grow
  • A high attention to detail and consistent, and quality workmanship
  • Ability to take direction and apply feedback quickly and effectively
  • Team-oriented mindset with clear, professional communication
  • Composure and efficiency under pressure and time constraints

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in an automotive shop, motorsports, or competitive racing environment
  • Technical training or certification in automotive or motorsports technology
  • Familiarity with precision tools and measurement techniques
  • Fabrication and/or composite experience is considered a strong asset
