We are recruiting for a Process Engineering Technician. This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate would work a shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.

The Process Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This role ensures process documentation accuracy, supports engineering teams with process-related challenges, and contributes to operational excellence through auditing, analysis, and optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date and fully compliant process documentation.
  • Deliver process control plan and SWI training to ensure employee understanding and adherence to documented processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify process compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with process-related issues and implement required changes, including trial validation and results analysis.
  • Review employee suggestions related to process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Implement opportunities for improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Perform value stream mapping to analyze and optimize workflow and process efficiency.
  • Determine optimum machine capabilities to support production performance and capacity planning.
  • Support 3D-to-3D model-based definition processes within engineering and manufacturing workflows.
  • Review in-process digital inspection outputs and making informed decisions based on results.
  • Monitor and maintain calibration of scanning equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurement data.
  • Work with vendors and equipment suppliers to support operational requirements.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in engineering from a recognized college or university
  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to CAD, PFMEA, and SPC software is an asset
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to communicate effectively, motivate others, and foster teamwork
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other standard desktop applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills suitable for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and meet objectives within tight deadlines
  • Ability to read blueprints and interrogate CAD models to support process and inspection activities
  • Ability to revise inspection templates as required to support evolving process needs
