Antrim Truck Stop is one of the busiest and most established family-owned hospitality operations in the Ottawa Valley. Serving locals, travelers, and families for decades, Antrim consists of three departments: a full-service restaurant, a fresh bakery, and a convenience store with gas bar.

We are recruiting for a Kitchen Manager who is passionate about food, leadership and teamwork, to join our team. This is a full-time position.

The Opportunity

The Kitchen Manager oversees all back-of-house operations, including food production, quality control, staff management, budgeting, and sanitation. This position requires hands-on leadership, ensuring a positive work environment and exceptional food experience for our guests, and a collaborative workplace with other leaders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coach, and develop kitchen staff while maintaining morale and teamwork.
  • Lead by example during peak service times and ensure smooth communication with FOH staff.
  • Maintain visibility and availability during busy hours and special events.
  • Ensure all dishes meet timing, presentation, and taste standards.
  • Oversee food rotation, storage, and prep levels to prevent waste and shortages.
  • Manage and analyze kitchen budgets and expenses.
  • Accurately report bi-weekly kitchen costs and variances.
  • Develop strategies for efficiency and profitability while maintaining quality.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and maintain clear communication with all departments.

Additional Information

The schedule for this role is 40 to 50 hours per week, depending on business needs. Hours of operation are 5:00am to 9:00m daily. Weekend and holiday work is required.
