Calabogie Peaks is a four-season country resort located on the shores of Calabogie Lake at the base of Dickson Mountain, 50 minutes from Ottawa. This boutique hotel is part of the Ascend Collection by Choice, including 25 recently renovated rooms, all with specific characteristics. There are 30 one to three bedroom condo suites all at the base of the tallest ski resort in Ottawa Valley.

Calabogie Peaks Hotel is recruiting an enthusiastic, reliable and proactive Room Attendant. This is a full-time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction by providing high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare guest rooms, including changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking amenities according to hotel standards
- Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report them promptly to the maintenance team
- Maintain cleanliness of public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational areas
- Ensure all high-touch surfaces are sanitized regularly to maintain health and safety standards
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and towels
- Monitor inventory levels of linens and cleaning supplies, reporting shortages to the Housekeeping Manager
- Follow established health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Respond promptly to any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Ensure compliance with hotel and regulatory cleanliness standards, including eco-friendly initiatives
- Work closely with front desk and maintenance teams to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction
- Assist in training new housekeeping team members
- Follow procedures for handling lost and found items

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced, upscale resort setting. In addition:

- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
- Professional appearance, extraordinary performance in punctuality, attendance, personal hygiene and customer service

- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Assets:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience in a resort, hotel, or similar environment
- Familiarity with luxury or upscale resort standards (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, or similar)

Salary: $19.00 per hour to start. The salary will increase to $20.00 per hour after passing probation.
