Description:

Pembroke Dental provides patients of all ages with a wide variety of dental services including cosmetic, preventive, and restorative care to help obtain and maintain oral health. We want patients to feel confident knowing we can provide the dental services they may need. 

We are recruiting for a Dental Assistant. This is a part-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take, process, and mount dental radiographs as required in accordance with provincial regulations and scope of practice
  • Perform Level II expanded functions as permitted, including:
    • Placing and removing rubber dams
    • Intra-oral scanning and impressions
    • Placing and finishing restorations (e.g., temporary crowns and restorations)
    • Applying desensitizing agents, fluoride, pit and fissure sealants
    • Performing coronal polishing
  • Monitor and manage inventory of dental supplies and materials, placing orders as needed.
  • Support scheduling, patient intake, and administrative tasks.
  • Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognized Ontario dental assisting program Level I or Level II
  • Active certification and good standing with the provincial dental assisting regulatory body
  • HARP certification
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
  • Proficiency in dental software and digital imaging systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and a team-based work environment
