The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000.  Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year.

Come join us! As a result of internal movements, we are currently recruiting temporary, part-time and casual Registered Practical Nurses. Our RPNs work across several units include dialysis, the emergency department, medical, surgical, and complex continuing care. 

Registered Practical Nurses may be scheduled days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Duties will include:

• Performs strategies and interventions directed by the care plan.
• Evaluates the extent to which the individual's health needs are being met.
• Collaborates with the other members of the health team in the planning and provision of care.
• Refers and reports pertinent information to other members of the health team.
• Fulfils responsibilities as a member of the nursing discipline.

• Experience with adult medical and surgical care or chronically ill patients
• Competency and ability to work in the special care unit 
• Experience working with the elderly
• Asepsis and medication certification
• Current certification in C.P.R. at basic rescuer level or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and to perform duties in the physical demands of the work area
• Demonstrates effective use of a computer for EHR documentation purposes
