Join our team as a water and wastewater professional. We are recruiting for an Operations Supervisor. In this permanent, full-time position, you will lead and administer the provision of competitive and safe water and wastewater treatment services of a large cluster of plants within the eastern region.

You will provide guidance to operations and maintenance staff, oversee and support the operation, and oversee maintenance and management of a group of facilities within the cluster. This is done ensuring compliance with legislative requirement, OCWA policy and procedure and contractual obligations, client service principles and contractual obligations.  Additionally, you will act as Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) or Operator in Charge (OIC).

Detailed Job Information

• A valid Class 1 water, wastewater, distribution and collection certificate
• A willingness and ability to obtain certification at the highest level of the facilities
• A minimum Class 1 certification specific to the facility and in accordance with O. Reg. 128/04 of the Safe Drinking Water Act and/or O. Reg. 129/04 of the Ontario Water Resources Act
• Able to oversee construction projects for development or major repairs of facilities and plants
• A valid Class G driver’s licence
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset

You must be available for overtime and have the ability to be on-call after regular working hours (Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm) as part of a rotation.

Salary range: $1,316.68 to $1,636.27 per week, plus pay for water and wastewater certification.
