Ben Hokum and Son Limited is a progressive and growing sawmill and lumber company. We are the largest producer of red and white pine in Eastern Ontario and our lumber products are well-known in industry circles for their superior quality. Our company employs over 100 people, and we sell our products throughout Canada and internationally.

We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Operator at our Pembroke location. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Choose materials to be moved by forklift
• Safe operation of a forklift to load and unload materials
• Load and unload lumber on/off trucks
• Ensure proper operation of the forklift at all times
• Work with a safety-conscious mindset

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
• Forklift experience is an asset
• Commitment to work safely in a fast-paced environment and to follow all safe operating procedures
• Excellent communication skills to ensure work is completed on time and with the quality we expect
• Ability to work as a team member
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the work
