We are recruiting for an Equipment Operator. This is a permanent, full-time position.

An Equipment Operator's main responsibility is to maintain the township’s infrastructure through the performance of a variety of labour type jobs, including but not limited to, snow clearing, maintenance of equipment, roads, linear assets, buildings and grounds. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Equipment Operator provides support to the township’s public works and property department with safety as a priority.

• Valid DZ driver’s license (minimum) in good standing; an AZ license is desirable.
• Must have completed O.S.S.D. (Grade 12) or CAEC.
• Experience in operation of tandem trucks, backhoe, loader and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Operation of tandem snowplow and snow removal equipment is an asset.
• Experience in a municipal field is an asset.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Available for on-call and ability to work flexible hours.
• Water license level 1 and sewer license level 1 from OWWCO is an asset.
• Computer skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to demonstrate good judgment and initiative are beneficial.

Compensation: $58,162.90 - $67,730.87 (40 hours per week), with OMERS and a benefit package.
