Located in the southwest edge of Renfrew County, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan is home to several outdoor adventure businesses, second-generation logging companies, and many small businesses that thrive in our community. The hamlets of Palmer Rapids, Brudenell, Quadeville, Hardwood Lake and more are nestled in this rural and heavily forested township with 60,000 hectares of bush that supports the logging industry and surrounds the lush farmland. The public works department is responsible for 197 kilometers of roads in the township.

The Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan is recruiting for a General Labourer. This is a full-time position.

The General Labourer will take on a variety of tasks including being a facility attendant, grass cutting, snow removal and serving as a casual waste attendant.

Complete Job Description

• Valid class G driver’s licence; DZ licence is and asset
• Able to work a flexible schedule; days, evenings, and weekends are required
• Experience in ice rink maintenance and snow plowing is an asset
• Knowledge of equipment and the ability to perform daily safety and maintenance checks
• Able to perform various duties pertaining to everyday activities of the roads department
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to handle emergency situations, work pressures and stress
• Comfortable operating hand power tools in a safe and effective manner
• Follow the direction of the supervisor regarding specific tasks
