We are recruiting for Outside Maintenance Labourers. These are full-time, seasonal positions with the possibility of being extended for winter work.
We are currently looking to expand our teams to keep up with the demands of the services. We are looking for energetic, reliable, positive attitude, strong work ethic, team players that are willing to become part of a successful award-winning local business.
This position typically involves performing manual labour tasks, often requiring the ability to operate hand and power tools while working both independently and as part of a team under the direction of a supervisor.
What you will be doing:
- Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, edging sidewalks, weeding garden beds, and removing debris
- Planting, installation and watering maintenance including digging holes, planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, laying sod, and spreading mulch
- Watering flowers
- Loading and unloading materials (soil, mulch, plants) from trucks, using wheelbarrows to transport materials
- Operating power tools like mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, and hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners
- Removing debris, leaves, and clippings from work sites as well as cleaning out garbage receptacles
