McCrea Excavating Ltd. is a family-owned business that has been serving Eastern Ontario for multiple decades. All our services and equipment are backed by the reputation of high-quality, personable and reliable services. Our services include excavating, civil construction, aggregates, float services, rock breakers, landscaping, snow removal and sand, gravel and topsoil.

We are currently recruiting for Landscapers. These are full-time, seasonal positions working Monday to Friday.

The Landscaper works on a variety of landscaping projects throughout Renfrew County. Work involves spreading soil, planting grasses, laying sod and finishing landscaping projects. There may be work that is site specific, such as building retaining walls, and managing other features given the project needs.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and preparing work sites
• Using power tools and other equipment to prepare the site
• Supporting construction activities
• Performing planting, watering, fertilizing and pest control work
• Collaborating with crew members and taking direction from the foreman

• While experience with professional or personal landscaping projects is an asset, we are happy to work with the right person and train you for this role
• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• A safety-conscious individual
• Experience and familiarity in working with power tools
• A great team member and someone the crew can count on

Assets:

• Previous landscaping experience
• Knowledge of horticultural practices, excavation and construction work
