Mulvihill Drug Mart is an independent, family-owned pharmacy in the heart of the beautiful Ottawa Valley. We have four locations in Pembroke and Petawawa and have been serving these and the surrounding communities since 1928.

Mulvihill Drug Mart is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified applicant to join our team as a Retail Manager. This is a full-time position.

This role is a unique opportunity to work as a part of a team with vast retail experience. In this position, you have the opportunity to work in a pharmacy that prioritizes high-quality service and exceptional healthcare.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day operations
• Ensuring customers receive excellent service
• Collaborating with other department managers
• Maintaining the inventory integrity of the business, including ordering and assisting with receiving
• Implementing new planograms and making planogram adjustments
• Managing human resources activities for front store and delivery driver teams
• Hiring, coaching, developing and motivating staff
• Managing and maintaining the building, fixtures and security requirements
• Keeping a safe, comfortable and clean work environment
• Performing all duties as assigned by the pharmacy owner

• A minimum of five years of previous retail management experience; pharmacy-specific experience is preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent leadership and performance management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Understanding of the pharmacy retail market and pharmacy product knowledge
• Inventory management experience
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to adapt to change
• Ability to do heavy lifting on daily basis
