Since 1996, Pembroke MDF has been manufacturing a wide range of medium-density fibreboard and interior moulding products. Equipped with a parallel refining system and dual moulding lines, the Pembroke mill has an annual production capacity of 130 million square feet (3/4-inch basis). Our plant employs nearly 200 employees.

At Roseburg Forest Products, we are proud to produce high-quality MDF for the Canadian market.

We currently have an opening for Finishing Technicians, Level 1. These are full-time positions.

The Finishing Technician is responsible for performing in all areas of finishing including grading, strapping and operating the forklift. The Finishing Technician is also responsible for the maintenance of prescribed quantity and quality of product produced. Other duties include:

• Troubleshoot the basic performance of machines
• Bundle and stack the finished product and perform quality checks
• Wrap, strap and label units and put into storage with lift truck
• Ensure SKU machines are set up correctly
• Make dunnage for pallets and carts including strapping of finished units
• Maintain the lift truck in proper working condition
• Assist operators in maintenance and cleanup
• Keep the work area clean

• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
• Related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is an asset
• Mechanically inclined
• Forklift experience is an asset
• Good computer skills
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis in a 24/7 manufacturing facility
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work alone, self-motivated but also must be a team player

Shift Premiums:

• $1.50 per hour for night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• $1.00 per hour for weekend shifts from Saturday at 7:00am to Monday at 7:00am
