Since 1996, Pembroke MDF has been manufacturing a wide range of medium-density fibreboard and interior moulding products. Equipped with a parallel refining system and dual moulding lines, the Pembroke mill has an annual production capacity of 130 million square feet (3/4-inch basis). Our plant employs nearly 200 employees.
At Roseburg Forest Products, we are proud to produce high-quality MDF for the Canadian market.
We currently have an opening for a Moulding Technician. This is a full-time position.
The Moulding Technician is responsible to ensure product quality is correct, ensure that all equipment in area is in proper working condition and report any abnormalities to operators or the manager. This role is also responsible for the maintenance of prescribed quantity and quality of product produced. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting the machine’s basic performance, making adjustments, ensuring that Gesso coating and sanders are producing moulding to quality specifications and calling for additional resources as required.
Other duties include:
- Check the quality of the final product
- Operate HMI and robotic packaging equipment
- Ensure the SKU machines are set up correctly
- Operate the electric lift truck and electric pallet truck
- Set up and maintain Gesso coaters, sanders and ovens
- Set up and follow the standard process to mix water, calcium carbonate, and PVA glue to create Gesso
- Maintain an inventory of ingredients and mixed Gesso.
- Use a viscosity meter to check consistency of Gesso
- Document and record all steps of the creation process
- Keep the work area clean

Shift Premiums include:
- $1.50 per hour for night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am
- $1.00/hour for weekend shifts from Saturday at 7:00am to Monday at 7:00am
