We are recruiting for a Production Operator. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. The schedule may vary based on the needs of the business and may include overtime, evening, or weekend shifts.

About the Position

The Production Operator is responsible for operating various manufacturing equipment, including grinders, presses, and evaporators, to process raw materials into semi-finished goods. This role involves maintaining process records, ensuring compliance with standards, and participating in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives.

General duties and responsibilities:

  • Use production instructions and handheld scanners to ensure production orders are completed accurately
  • Perform data entry
  • Macerate herbs and prepare compounding formulas
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, drums, and jugs
  • Participate in ongoing training for safety, GMP, operational, continuous improvement, and employee development
  • Follow company policies
  • Ensure any maintenance concerns are identified and communicated to the manager
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement to operations or process
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Job Information

Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Basic level math skills
  • Computer skills (to complete mandatory training, access payroll software, and enter timecards)
  • Ability to read, understand and follow instructions and apply information provided in standard operating procedures and other documentation
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written proficiency)
  • Physical requirements include lifting heavy items and standing for long periods
  • Working knowledge in Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel is an asset

  • $17.60 - $18.50 per hour plus annual performance-based bonus of up to 5% of base wages
