Pathways Alcohol and Drug Treatment Services provides community treatment to residents of Renfrew County who are struggling with substance use; as well as family members.  

We are recruiting for an Addictions Counsellor-Opioid Case Manager for the MotherSafe Program. This is a full-time position for a one-year contract with the possibility of being made permanent. This position will work in the Pembroke-Renfrew area.

The Addictions Counsellor-Opioid Case Manager will work specifically with women who have substance use issues (including opioids) and who are pregnant and/or have children under 16 years of age.

Duties:

  • Provide intake and screening, assessments
  • Develop treatment plans with appropriate clients
  • Provide community treatment and case management to clients within a community treatment setting, including crisis intervention
  • Participate in supervision and team meetings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or an equivalent discipline
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the treatment of substance use disorders
  • Evidence of client-directed practice of service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Member of a regulatory college or CACCF
  • Bilingualism is an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle
