We are recruiting for an Instrumentation Electrician. This is a full-time position and a new position at Magellan.

About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating and upgrading electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and instrumentation systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and instruments
• Troubleshoot PLCs, motor control centers (MCCs), and control circuits
• Calibrate temperature, pressure, flow, and level instruments, including sensors, controllers, and transmitters
• Install, test, commission, and troubleshoot new instruments and control systems
• Use electronic test equipment to diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues
• Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and vendor manuals     
• Complete accurate documentation for work orders, inspections, preventive maintenance and regulatory audits
• Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and company safety policies
• Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to modify equipment and support new production lines

• Certified Electrician with a valid 309A or 442 license
• Certified Instrumentation & Control Technician with a valid 447A license is preferred
• Additional technical training in industrial automation or process engineering is an asset
• A minimum of 3-5 years of industrial experience in manufacturing is preferred
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment for troubleshooting and calibration
• Strong PLC troubleshooting skills including ladder logic and control circuits
• Basic computer skills, including CMMS software
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and safety
• Ability to work independently and in teams under minimal supervision
• Security Requirements:
