Occupational Certification:
- Possession of a valid Petroleum Mechanics Helper or higher (PMH, PM1, PM2, PM3) under the Canadian Petroleum Contractors Association standard, or
- An equivalent certification recognized by the provincial or territorial authority for petroleum equipment installation and service, or
- Possession of a valid Technical Qualification Level (QL) 5 or Developmental Period (DP) 2 in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) a Petroleum Production Technician
Candidates who qualify based on a valid Technical Qualification Level (QL) 5 (minimum) in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) as a petroleum production technician may be required to obtain and maintain a valid provincial or territorial journeyperson certificate of qualification at the time of appointment
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in the operations of an industrial plant systems, including troubleshooting, performing first-line maintenance and repairs, and scheduling preventive maintenance programs
- Essential competencies: communication, demonstrating integrity and respect and working effectively with others
