We are recruiting for a Service Manager. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday.

As a Service Manager, you have the opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operation of the workshop. You oversee the mechanics as well as being an exemplary leader.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure high quality service and repairs are provided to customers
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations
• Schedule, manage and maintain technicians to maximize efficiency while minimizing overhead
• Create, maintain, track and close service work orders for such things as new equipment assembly, pre-delivery inspections, customers repairs, installations, etc. on various manual and electronic systems
• Monitor and respond to service related emails and telephone inquiries
• Motivate and support the service team and always lead by example
• Schedule and prioritize service appointments
• Ensure the high quality of workmanship from technicians and apprentices
• Monitor quality control by spot-checking repairs, either in the shop or on road tests
• Ensure efficient and timely completion of automotive repairs
• Work closely with the parts manager
• Train and mentor service team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 5 or more years of experience as a service advisor or in a similar role
• Strong leadership and management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficient in using computer systems and software for recordkeeping
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
• Technical knowledge related to the products or services offered by the company
• GM experience is an asset
• Class G driver’s license
