Automotive Service Technician Apprentice

True-Centre Auto Service in Pembroke is a trusted name in the auto repair business – a one-stop shop for all auto repairs, vehicle maintenance and car repair solutions. We are currently recruiting for a Service Technician who has worked on a variety of vehicle makes and models. Whether you are an apprentice or journeyman, we are looking for someone who is committed to continuous learning and who is passion about being an early adopter of new trends, procedures and technology.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The person we are looking for in this position is highly reliable and honest and are always taking the initiative to learn, develop and grow. You would be comfortable with multi-tasking and you work well under pressure to meet multiple demands. You have great communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Performing vehicle inspections
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the shop area and tools
• Being aware of part stock levels and reordering when necessary

• Pursuing the field of automotive service technician
• Basic computer knowledge and comfortable using technology on a regular basis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record

Assets:

• Experience working on import and domestic light trucks and cars
• Being certified to perform government inspections
• A comprehensive tool set in excellent working condition

Salary range varies depending on the candidate’s level of expertise.
