Description:

Arnprior Aerospace Inc. combines facilities from Canada, the United States and Mexico to develop and manufacture aerospace structure and components for North America’s largest aerospace companies.  Located in Arnprior, less than 30 minutes west of Ottawa/Kanata.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Project Engineer.

Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Ensuring assigned projects are completed on-time and within budget, delivering the predefined results
  • Proposal preparation
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams such as operations, engineering and procurement
  • Some travel may be required
Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree is mandatory (Preferably in  Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering)
  • PMP, PMI or other project management certification
  • Three to five years direct work experience in a project management capacity in a manufacturing environment including all aspects of process development and execution
  • Experience with work transfer in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment to new or existing facilities
  • APICS certification
  • Continuous education in a management related field (AIMS etc.) and/or technical related field (CATIA, SPC, etc.)
  • Team leadership (cross-functional/kaizen)
  • Thorough knowledge of MRP systems
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of aerospace configuration management system
  • Computer skills in MS Office suite (intermediate level - use of functions/add-ins/macros)
  • Knowledge of JIT/Lean production techniques
  • Knowledge of 6S/CQI and its application
