The Killaloe Community Resource Centre (CRC) is a multi-service community hub located in Killaloe with locations in neighbouring communities. We are working toward a future in which everyone has access to the connections, opportunities, supports and services they need to live full lives in vibrant, sustainable rural communities.

We are recruiting for a Senior Active Living Coordinator to work at our South Algonquin location. This is a part-time position.

The Senior Active Living Coordinator will plan and implement activities, programs, and services for seniors living in and around the Township of South Algonquin, Whitney and Madawaska. Using a mobile service delivery model, the Active Living Centre will offer programs that promote active living, social engagement, healthy food and meals, healthy relationships, and life-long learning.

Duties will include:

  • engaging senior
  • planning and delivering programs
  • coordinating instructors and volunteers
  • participating in evaluation, budgeting, and reporting activities.
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in a related field such as gerontology or recreation
  • Experience working with seniors and/or at risk populations with an antiĀ­-racist, anti-oppression perspective
  • Strong administration, organizational and reporting skills with demonstrated project leadership
  • Experience coordinating programs and activities
  • Reliable vehicle and valid Ontario driver's license.
  • The ability to work in both French and English is an asset.
  • Clear vulnerable sector check necessary for successful applicant.
