The mission of Bernadette McCann House (BMH), an accredited organization serving Renfrew County, is to work for change that will end abuse by providing safety, support and education to all those who experience abuse. Our services include an emergency residential program for women and children, community outreach, support services for children, groups and workshops.
Specifically, our residential program offers a short-term emergency 16-bed shelter for women and children fleeing abusive relationships.
We are currently recruiting for Relief Residential Caseworker. These are casual positions on an “as-needed” basis only. Weekend and shift work is required.
Reporting to the Residential Supervisor, this position provides direct service to women who have experienced abuse and their children, in a residential setting, involving crisis intervention and client advocacy.
